The menswear tailoring trend continued in Milan. At the Jil Sander show, designer Raf Simons dressed his models in androgynous retro-looking suits. It was a far contrast to some of the other top collections that have been staged at the Italian fashion capital.
Donatella Versace went for va-va-va-voom glamour with gowns that were slit all the way up to the hip. Fendi‘s Karl Lagerfeld seemingly played it safe with pretty separates (including dirndls!) and lots of fur accoutrement to match. At Prada, designer Miuccia Prada focused on a woman’s natural curves (Lara Stone and Doutzen Kroes were among those who walked in her show), even going as far as to have pointed bra inserts sewn into in certain tops and dresses.
